State Approvals

Trachte designs each building, at a minimum, to the structural design load requirements for the state it will be placed in. Trachte provides P.E. stamping of structural plans and calculations and for state approval and labeling.

Standard Codes and Guidelines followed by Trachte include:

  • The ACSE (American Society Of Civil Engineers) “Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures”
  • The MBMA (Metal Building Manufacturers Association) “Recommended Design Practices Manual”
  • The IBC (International Building Code)
  • UBC (Uniform Building Code)
  • NEC (National Electrical Code)

Many States require State Approval and 3d Party Inspection for Modular/Preassembled Buildings. The requirements for these programs typically include some combination of the following:

  • A complete set of structural plans and calculations stamped by an engineer registered in the state of building placement.
  • Adherence to appropriate State Codes & requirements.
  • State review and acceptance of manufacturer’s Quality Assurance Program.
  • Factory inspection of the building (one to three times during or after production) by a state-approved, third-party inspection agency.
  • A state-approved label on the building, after satisfactorily completing state engineering review requirements.
  • Trachte is licensed & approved to provide buildings for all states with Modular Building Programs.
